Mark and Holly Box Owners

Mark and Holly Box are committed to providing the very best service possible to the families they serve. Mark has been in the funeral service business for over 25 years and is a licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer, and Cremation Specialist in Alabama. Holly is also a licensed Funeral Director and is a licensed Preneed Insurance Agent for the state of Alabama. Mark has worked as a Funeral Director and as a Contract Service Provider for all funeral homes within Calhoun County and funeral homes in surrounding areas. Holly has been in education for over 25 years, where she has been a teacher, an instructional coach, and an assistant principal. Holly also worked for Calhoun County Board of Education as Deputy Superintendent. Mark and Holly will work alongside the families they serve to provide a lasting tribute for their loved ones. Mark and Holly are members of Oxford Church of Christ. In their spare time, they enjoy spending time on the river, playing with their grandbabies, and spending time with their family.

Cassie Parson Funeral Home Manager, Funeral Director and Embalmer

Cassie is a native of Paulding County, Georgia and is a graduate of Hiram High School in Hiram, Georgia (2003). Upon graduation, Cassie moved to Jacksonville, Alabama where she began working in the funeral industry (2004). She attended Jacksonville State University and Jefferson State Community College, where she obtained her AAS degree in Funeral Service Education (2008). Cassie is a holder of a National Board Certificate from the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards and serves as a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the state of Alabama. She is also a member of AGEG (Academy of Graduate Embalmers of Georgia). Cassie resides in the Pleasant Valley community and is a member of Pleasant Valley Holiness Church. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also likes to spoil her pup, Jasper and her pot-bellied pig, Charlie.

Jason Bedford Funeral Director and Cremationist

Jason is a native of Oxford, Alabama.  He began working in the funeral industry in 1994. Jason is a licensed funeral director in the state of Alabama (2001) and is also a certified cremationist (2018). Jason has served families in Calhoun County, Etowah County, and Jefferson County for the past 28 years. He and his wife, Maliea, live in Oxford with their two sons, Tanner and Tucker and are members of the First Baptist Church of White Plains. Jason also serves on the Calhoun County District Attorney's Citizens Advisory Board and is a volunteer fighterfighter. In his spare time Jason enjoys officiating high school basketball and high school softball and spending time with his family.

Bayley Box Linares Office Manager

Bayley Box Linares is a graduate of Oxford High School (2016) and a lifelong native of Calhoun County. She is the oldest daughter of Mark and Holly Box. Upon graduation, Bayley attended Gadsden State Community College where she earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science and became a licensed cosmetologist in the State of Alabama (2018). She and her husband, Austin, are parents to a beautiful ANGEL son, A.J. Linares and also their precious baby boy, Jaxon Sterling Linares. Bayley and Austin reside in Oxford, attend Oxford Church of Christ and enjoy spending time with family in their spare time. They also have two fur-babies, Stella and Leo.

Brayden Box Gaines Cemetery Office Manager

Brayden Box Gaines is a graduate of Oxford High School (2019), a lifelong native of Calhoun County, and the youngest daughter of Mark and Holly Box. Brayden is married to Colby Gaines, also a native of Calhoun County, and they reside in Oxford. Brayden manages day-to-day operations for the office of Anniston Memorial Gardens and Maple Grove Cemetery. She and Colby are the proud parents of Gracie Rae Gaines and enjoy spending time with their family.

Candace Davis Family Service Counselor

Candace was born and raised in Alexandria and graduated from Alexandria High Shcool. She taught Math for 17 years at Alexandria High School and is currently teaching Math at Gadsden State Community College.  Candace has two sons, Dru (Skylar) and Drake and is a proud "Cici" to her grandson, Paxton. In her spare time, Candace loves doing crafts and playing with her grandson. She is a member of Church of the Highlands.

Randy F. Ricketts Family Service Counselor and Funeral Director

Randy is a native of Huntsville, AL.  He moved to Calhoun County in 1985, where he attended Jacksonville State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree (1989).  After college, Randy joined the law enforcment agengy with Anniston's Police Department.  In 1996, he began his career in the restaurant business with Sonic Drive-In, which led to the ownership of the Anniston and Oxford locations in 2014.  Randy was also the co-owner of Dad's BBQ locations from 2005-2014.  Randy is a licensed funeral director in the state of Alabama (2022) and also a licensed preneed sales agent (2020). Randy has two sons, Patrick and Chase; step children, Hannah and Dalton Newman; and is married to Susan Cooper Ricketts. Randy and his family attend Harvest Church of God.
