Jacksonville - A Celebration of Life for Angela "Angie" M. (Thacker) Wagoner, 47, will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Nance’s Creek Cemetery. Angie gained her angel wings on August 7, 2018, following a brief illness. Angie is survived by her children, David Wagoner Jr., Brandy Wagoner and Ashley Wagoner, all of Jacksonville, and Amanda Thacker Grayson, of Anniston; her brothers, Johnathan "Johnny" Hulsey and Jack "Jackie" Thacker Jr., both of Jacksonville; niece, Jessica Heath, of Ocala, Fla.; aunt, Ann Cain, of Piedmont; several cousins; her beloved chihuahua, Lily Marie; great-nephew and great-niece, Ayden Creech and Cloey Rivera-Rosario; honorary family members, Tyler Pierce and Sarah Colburn; extended family and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her parents, Jack and Edna Thacker, and special friend, Erin Pierce. Pallbearers will be family members and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of The Anniston Star. Angie was a 1989 graduate of Anniston High School. She was a Customer Service Representative for The Anniston Star at the time of her death. She was loved by her co-workers, the carriers and many customers who always asked for her by name. Angie was proud of her children and loved them unconditionally. She always had a smile on her face and loved to share a laugh with all who crossed her path. Angie had a heart of gold and always put others ahead of herself. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Anniston Memorial Funeral Home to help with funeral costs. The family requests that everyone wear purple, Angie's favorite color. Purple ribbons will also be available for those who wish to honor her that way.
