Anniston – Funeral service for Mrs. Edna R. Owens, 75, will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 12 noon at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Harper officiating. Entombment will be held in Anniston Memorial Gardens following the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon prior to the service. Mrs. Owens went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 10, 2018. Mrs. Owens is survived by her children, Robin (Mike) Pearl and Jeff (Georgia) Lambert; four grandchildren, Grant Pearl, Taylor (Aaron) Pearl Kilgore, Caleb Lambert and Savanna Lambert; her sister, Elizabeth Brown; four brothers, Jerry (Nancy) Roberts, Franklin Roberts, Harold (Pam) Roberts and Johnny (Lisa) Roberts; the father of her children and close friend, Bobby Joe Lambert; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Pallbearers will be Rusty Roberts, Brad Roberts, Tommy Roberts, Shane Roberts, Corey Roberts, Justin Roberts, Mike Roberts and Bill Moss. Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Bessie Roberts; her husband, Jim Owens; and one brother, Clyde Roberts. Mrs. Owens was a loving and protective mother, an extraordinary Granmomma, a devoted sister and a loyal friend. Her most favorite thing was being surrounded by her family and being enveloped in their love. Mrs. Owens loved to entertain and was the leader of her clan. Shopping and gift giving was her calling. She was a lifelong member of Saks Baptist Church and enjoyed being a part of her Sunday School class and serving the Lord. Mrs. Owens was best known for her true talent and special touch as a beautician. She worked in the industry for 55 years, holding a special place in her heart for those she worked with and made beautiful.
